2015 Annual Del Ray Halloween Parade is Sunday, October 25 on Mt. Vernon Avenue
It’s hard to believe but almost 20 years ago, a simple neighborhood tradition of walking around the block with kids dressed in their Halloween costumes has morphed into the extravaganza that is the Del Ray Halloween Parade. Think 5,000+ folks!
Celebrating its 19th year, the 2015 Annual Del Ray Halloween Parade will take place on Sunday, October 25 at 2:00pm on Mt. Vernon Avenue.
As always, it is an event for the entire family. Whether you parade, watch from the curb or join in at the end on the field at the Mt. Vernon Rec Center for music by Mars Rodeo and healthy goodie bags, its about being part of a community and a neighborhood that cares enormously for its inhabitants.
Want more? There will be games and activities for the kids, free portrait photograhpy and awards for Bet Pet Costume, Best Decorated Business, Best Decorated Home and Best Decorated Stroller. And finally – finish off the day with the Spooky Bean Halloween Haunted Graveyard at the corner of Mt. Vernon and East Del Ray Avenue.
All activities are free of charge.
Any wonder we love living in Del Ray?
