Alexandria Neighborhoods: Exploring Del Ray with the Washington Post Weekend Section
Today’s Weekend section of the Washington Post features a great cover story on our very own Del Ray. Of course it’s not the first time local and even national publications have written about our little corner of the world!
Called “Del Ray Dreaming”, the article focuses on “good food, quirky shops and more”. It goes on to call Del Ray a “. . . pleasingly antiquated landscape . . . Avenues are lined with white picket fences and American Foursquare homes, often with children playing out front while mom and pop look on from the front porch. Norman Rockwell would run out of paint within two hours here.”
What we love about it, other than the fact that it highlights our much beloved neighborhood, is that we have written about many of these places.
So, read the article first and then come back here to check out a few of the places in a bit more depth.
